My affordable rates for translations and proofreading
Are you curious about my rates for translating or proofreading your text? You can find that information here. That means you do not have to ask for a quotation first to know what your translation will cost. On this page, you will find my rates for translations, my student rate, my rates for a resume or cover letter, my rate for proofreading your Dutch or English text, and surcharges for urgent jobs or weekend jobs.

A translation costs 7 cents per word exclusive of VAT. That is 8.47 cents per word inclusive of VAT.
The final price is calculated using the goal text, meaning the translation.
Do you have a small text of fewer than 500 words? If so, I ask a starting fee of 25 euros exclusive of VAT. That is 30.25 euros inclusive of VAT.
Are you a student who needs help with your thesis or summary thereof? No problem! My student rate is 6 cents per word exclusive of VAT. That is 7.26 per word inclusive of VAT.
Translating a resume or cover letter
Due to the technical nature of the document, different rates apply to a resume or cover letter.
Translating a resume
- First two pages: €60 exclusive of VAT (€72.60 inclusive of VAT)
- Every extra page:€20 exclusive of VAT (€24.20 inclusive of VAT)
Translating a cover letter
- First page: €60 exclusive of VAT (€72.60 inclusive of VAT)
- Every extra page: €25 exclusive of VAT (€30.25 inclusive of VAT)
For proofreading Dutch or English documents, the rate of 6 cents per word exclusive of VAT applies. That is 7.26 cents per word inclusive of VAT.
Urgent jobs and/or weekend jobs
For urgent jobs and/or weekend jobs, I ask a surcharge. This will be considered per job.
Urgent jobs are jobs that need to be translated within 48 hours.
Weekend jobs are jobs that need to be translated between Friday 7 am and Monday 6 pm to meet the given deadline.
